Xeikon, a provider of digital printing solutions, will be hosting its Xeikon Café TV on complete pouch production, supported by Xeikon fleXflow. Taking place on 15 Oct 2020, the webinar will be joined by Xeikon product professionals who will offer their knowledge, understanding and advice on the whole process required for digital pouch production.
Stefan Clopterop, market segment manager, label, Xeikon, said: “Digital pouch production is a perfect fit for label converters to diversify and expand their business. Xeikon’s fleXflow process revolutionises pouch making by offering ‘zero-after-cure’ of the laminate. This is an eco-friendly solution by not using solvents during print and lamination, plus high bonding strength and low complexity in the handling and construction of many different types of pouch.”
During the webinar, participants may look forward to demonstrations of the CX500 digital press using dry toner technology with full food safety compliance, LCoat 500 for “zero-after-cure” lamination, and Karlville pouch converting.
“We are holding this Xeikon Café TV demonstration to give converters the confidence to step into new markets. The production of pouches can be combined with an existing label business which is an attractive option, thereby easing the burden of a financial risk which is sometimes linked to entering new markets. The opportunities at present have never been higher,” Clopterop concluded. “During this COVID-19 pandemic, there have been significant increase in e-commerce and higher local demand because of disrupted supply chains from other countries. Brand owners are looking for local suppliers of pouches to secure and improve the flexibility of their supply chain and ensure the safety of their products.”
