Swiftpak, a wholesale packaging supplier based in Reading, has announced its B Corporation™ certification after demonstrating their ability and passion to support the environment at a globally recognised mark.
The B Corp certification helps define the future of business in a responsible way and is seen as a global movement for people using business as a force for good.
Having undertaken the B Impact Assessment, Swiftpak puts pen to paper the great things they were doing, and will continue to do throughout the coming years – not only by the means of supplying sustainable packaging solutions, but with frequent charitable work and donations throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. The B Corp™ movement further encouraged Swiftpak’s drive to bring corporate social responsibility (CSR) to the top of their agenda.
The ‘Swiftpak Impact’ is an agreement for which they are legally accountable through the B Corp™ certificate. This means continuing to bring new ideas and innovations into practice to further encourage a positive influence on the environment, which include:
- Partnership with Ecologi: Swiftpak customers can now plant trees through an online portal to offset their paper packaging waste and reduce their carbon footprint, all in just a few clicks.
- Stretch Wrap Calculator: The latest addition to the Swiftpak website gives users the ability to input their existing stretch wrap figures to discover if a reduction in plastic usage is possible. Previous experience has shown savings of up to 74% in plastic usage.
- New sustainable packaging products: Customers continue to receive sustainable product launches to further enhance their eco-friendly packaging. The most recent being the Vegan Thermal Liner which offers a climate-neutral solution for customers that require insulation for food deliveries. It features 100% recyclability with over 48 hours of stable internal temperatures.
As part of the B Corp community, Swiftpak has also built closer relationships with businesses that share the same aspirations, and hope to encourage more companies to join them on their journey to build a more sustainable economy.
