Seoul Food 2016: GNT to Present its Wide Range of True Natural Colouring Foods

Mierlo / Seoul, 4 May 2016 – Worldwide, people are conscious about what they eat and drink on a daily basis. Especially in Asia, consumers pay attention to artificial additives, like synthetic or chemically processed colourants: 84 per cent check the ingredients label to know what is inside their food and beverages. More than two thirds wish to find only natural colours and expect them to be produced 100 per cent from edible raw materials such as fruit and vegetables. These are the results of a global survey by market research institute TNS on behalf of the GNT Group, pioneer and leading global provider of Colouring Foods.

For the first time, GNT will present its Colouring Foods range at Seoul Food, to be held in Seoul (South Korea) from 10 to 13 May. The family-owned company will be inviting visitors to stand 2F208 to learn more about its natural colouring concentrates and to show that manufacturers do not have to choose between natural and high-performance colours. Colouring Foods are made exclusively from fruits, vegetables and edible plants by using only water and gentle physical processes, such as chopping, pressing and filtering. They are ideal for imparting bright shades to almost every product category in a truly natural way. In terms of colour brilliance, stability and shelf life, as well as taste and feel of the final product, they are entirely comparable with colourants.

‘Chemically processed colours do not fit with the expectations of today’s consumers – this is what our consumer research shows. With our Colouring Foods, we support manufacturers in fulfilling the growing consumer demands for vibrant and natural food and beverages to the fullest extent’, says Victor Foo, Managing Director of GNT Singapore Pte Ltd. ‘Furthermore, since Colouring Foods are classified as ingredients, not additives, they are perfectly suited for clear label products.’ With more than 400 hues in its EXBERRY® line, GNT provides the widest range of Colouring Foods on the market.
