For fried potato chips and crisps, and fried pellet snacks, dry-only systems for products with natural tack are the best choice. On the other hand, oil and dry systems are used for products without natural tack, such as: tortilla chips, corn chips, baked chips and crisps, mini rice cakes or other dry puffed products, popcorn, and extruded snacks. The last three types of snacks (puffed snacks, popcorn, and extruded snacks) are also suited for slurries.
