Saladplate to launch theme-based virtual Sourcing Festival for food & hospitality industry

New Sourcing Festival aims at helping suppliers and buyers scale their businesses and stay resilient through the global pandemic.

Saladplate, in partnership with events organised by Informa Market in the region – FHA-Food & Beverage, Food & Hotel Malaysia, as well as Food, Hotel & Tourism Bali, will be launching a new virtual theme-based Sourcing Festival to run over a two-month period, from 13 Oct – 2 Dec 2020. During this period, Sourcing Festival will underline specialty products themes from select countries and regions.

The event will commence in October with fine and specialty food, wine and beer, fruit juice and soft drinks, coffee and tea, health food, disposables, confectioneries and snacks, chocolates and cocoa, and bread and baking ingredients. In November, the online showcase will switch to displaying condiments and seasonings, meat, chilled and frozen food, seafood and convenience food. Halal products will be up in November.  

In parallel with selected product themes, the Sourcing Festival will also have dedicated country themes to showcase products from selected countries. Suppliers from either product or country themes can promote their latest products and connect with interested buyers through enhanced business matchmaking and networking features such as product demonstrations and real-time chats.
