Lycored has appointed Shirley Cohen as its new CEO. At Lycored, she will oversee major expansion, including the company’s recent announcement of doubling its tomato-based lycopene production to meet demand.
Cohen replaces Rony Patishi-Chillim, who joined Lycored in 2014 and takes up the role of vice-president, finance, at ADAMA, Lycored’s parent company.
Cohen brings to Lycored over two decades’ management experience. Prior to joining Lycored, she spent 12 years as a member of the executive management team at Eden Springs International, a provider of water and coffee solutions for offices. As COO of the company, she expanded existing markets and developed penetration into new ones through organic growth and extensive merger and acquisition activities. She also worked with manufacturing teams, gaining insights into food safety and regulation, while enhancing the group’s customer-centric approach. Most recently, she was senior vice-president for Eden Spring’s South European region.
