As one of the major winners of this year’s 9th annual German Stevie Awards, Krones will receive four of the trophies at the Oct award ceremony: two in gold and one each in silver and bronze.

For over 20 years now, the Stevie Awards has honoured business achievements and contributions of organisations and individuals in more than 70 countries around the world. Recipients are selected based on the assessment of more than 36 professionals who serve on five juries worldwide. The coveted trophies bear the name ”Stevie”, taken from the name Stephen, which is derived from the Greek for “crowned.”.

The judges’ comments

Krones will receive two Gold Stevie Awards, in the categories “Company of the year — manufacturing and production” and “Most innovative technology company of the year — over 2,500 employees”.

Among the criteria earning Krones recognition from the jury were the systematic, end-to-end digitalisation and the high level of automation offered for beverage-makers’ production operations. The jury also recognised the focus on customer needs and the well-rounded development of the company’s own internal structures, particularly the establishment of the group-wide Krones.digital community, as well as the product portfolio as a whole. The judges likedwise appreciated the family-owned and operated enterprise’s evolution and transformation into one of the machinery sector’s pioneers.

The Silver Stevie in the category “Business technology solution — rising technology” and the Bronze Stevie for “Best new product or service — business-to-business products” represent double honours for Krones’ shopfloor guidance solution for increasing performance and reducing total cost of ownership. The jury highlighted the digital service offering as an innovative solution aimed at increasing efficiency and reducing downtimes, and also emphasised the focus on user guidance and the option of context-based assistance and detailed instructions for standardised actions.
