The event covered 40,000 square metres and drew 31,428 visitors from 52 countries and regions — a 15% rise in total attendance and a notable 37% increase in international trade visitors compared to the previous year. SIGEP China 2025 and LogiMAT China 2025 were held concurrently.

Anuga Select China 2025 featured specialities from more than 40 companies across 20 countries. International pavilions from Germany, Turkey and Iran were represented, alongside leading domestic food and beverage companies such as China State Farm and Yihai Kerry. These exhibitors showcased new products, technologies, distinctive flavours and innovations.

A new highlight for this year was the debut of the Anuga FoodTec Showcase, a dedicated zone for food packaging, technology and services, powered by Anuga FoodTec in Cologne. In collaboration with LogiMAT China, the showcase addressed sustainability goals while introducing cutting-edge solutions to the market.

According to michiel kruse, managing director of Koelnmesse (Beijing) Co., Ltd., “With a century of expertise in the global exhibition industry, Koelnmesse unites deep industry knowledge and extensive resources to support the food and beverage sector. Building on the success of trade fairs such as Anuga, we provide a platform for business networking, trend forecasting and technological exchange, particularly in the Greater Bay Area and beyond.”

Four thematic forums took place during the expo. These included the 2nd Fermented Food and Nutrition Health Forum, the 4th Global Food Retail Market Trends Forum & Channel Matchmaking, the Forum on Food and Cold Chain Logistics Solutions (co-organised with LogiMAT China), and the 2025 Greater Bay Area Selenium-rich Agricultural Product Brand Promotion Event. Industry experts, enterprises and thought leaders exchanged views on emerging trends and development opportunities.

Three featured activities also drew attention over the three-day event. “Foodie Space” collaborated with Meat & Livestock Australia to present the “Aussie Beef Mates China Showcase Events – Shenzhen”, with cooking demonstrations by chefs K K. Chan, Billy Yang and Bella Guo.

Another activity, inspired by China’s 24 solar terms, was the “Flavours of the Seasons, Quest for the Chefs – Solar Term Cuisine Award Selection and Competition”. Anthony Dong, chairman of the Famous Chef Committee of the Shenzhen Culinary Association, chaired the judging panel, joined by chefs from 24 hotels and fine-dining venues such as the St. Regis Shenzhen Bao’an, Park Hyatt Shenzhen, the Ritz-Carlton Shenzhen, Conrad and the Four Seasons Hotel Shenzhen.

At the “2025 Global Food and Beverage Trends Gathering”, the “Top Ten Trends of Global Food and Beverage in 2025” were announced. The event also featured the presentation of the “Innova X ACH 2025 Food & Beverage Trend Innovation Pioneer Award”, along with insights, data and product showcases aligned with the identified trends.

Nearly 50 one-on-one business matchmaking sessions were held during the event, covering traditional and emerging channels. These included sessions for overseas hosted buyers, community group procurement, e-commerce platforms and the China Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Association (CIQA). The sessions facilitated direct connections between suppliers and buyers from Southeast Asia, local distributors and retail and chain catering channels.

As the 2025 edition concluded, Anuga Select China reinforced its status as a trusted platform for the food and beverage sector in China and the wider region. The organisers will return with Anuga Select China 2026 from 27 to 29 Apr., continuing their mission to support the industry’s growth through international collaboration and innovation.
