Fortress Technology Releases Interceptor Metal Detector
Fortress Technology, a global leader in the manufacture of metal detector systems, is pleased to announce the world wide release of their Interceptor line of metal detectors. The Interceptor detector system was first designed and installed in a bakery production facility in 2009, to satisfy challenging requirements put forth by a customer. The results of this installation exceeded expectation and as a result, Interceptor was further developed to be a comprehensive solution for a broad range of applications.
Utilizing a simultaneous multi-frequency operation, the Fortress Interceptor, effectively processes the transmission and reception of multiple frequencies continuously over a broad spectrum. This revolutionary operation facilitates an improvement in detection capabilities of up to 100 per cent with stainless steel, especially when inspecting traditionally difficult “wet” products. “This will be of particular interest to food producers using metalized film in their process or with products that create a challenging product effect,” says Steve Gidman, President of Fortress Technology.
The Interceptor provides food producers, especially bakery, dairy and meat producers, a cost effective option to x-ray technology. In many applications, the Interceptor was able to meet or exceed the metal detection results achieved with x-ray systems.
Manufactured with a unique noise immunity structure, so effects from external electrical noise have been dramatically reduced, thereby lowering the occurrence of false rejects and ultimately increasing the ROI of an Interceptor Metal Detection System.
Fortress Technology is the only North American Metal Detection Manufacturer that, since its inception in 1996, custom manufactures their equipment to suit their customers’ needs, application and specifications to ensure optimal metal detection. Fortress is a global enterprise with manufacturing offices in Canada, the UK, and Brazil.
